is an updated version of my earlier work, "A Foreign Student at Norwich University," which was published in 2023.My journey began in 1967 when I enrolled at Norwich University in Northfield, Vermont, ultimately graduating in 1971 from the oldest private military academy in the United States. Throughout my time there, I had the honor of representing Panama, and I remain deeply appreciative of the experiences and friendships I gained during this period.Indeed, I take pride in being the first Panamanian admitted as an international student at Norwich University. While there may have been others from the Isthmus of Panama in the past, they were from the former Panama Canal Zone, which at that time was part of the USA, thus making them U.S. citizens.I am profoundly grateful of the United States Embassy in Panama for presenting me the chance to bring about a meaningful change in my life.Due to political differences in Panama, I had to restart my journey from the ground up in the United States, a choice that has proven to be one of the best decisions of my life.My story, for the record, is evidence on how Norwich University prepared me with the resilience and personal competencies necessary to navigate life's ups and downs confronting numerous challenges successfully.I hope this book serves as a source of motivation and inspiration for future international students as well as United States citizens striving for a prosperous future.
